Layer 02 - The Characters KIDS - Taro, Myu-Myu, Masayuki These kids are rather mature for their age. Well, they hang out at a techno night club and are well informed about Navi's and the Wired. Myu-Myu jeers Lain for knowing so little about the subject. Masayuki doesn't say much and is really just a follower. Myu-Myu seems to feel she and Taro are an item, and gets very jealous of Lain who she thinks of as helpless and useless. Taro is a very confident young man who hits on Lain and Mika. He asks for a date from Lain as payment for info on Navi's. But 'wild' Lain of the Wired, not the Real world. SPOILERS In a later episode Lain agrees to a date with Taro, telling him the Wild and Real Lain are one in the same, so he agrees to Myu-Myu's annoyance. They go to her house and he checks out her new Navi, but she corners him asking about the Knights, concluding that he is a member, but he insists he is only waiting to become one. He is too young right now. He answers a few of her questions about the Knights and then says it's time he leaves.. but before he goes he kisses her goodbye, explaining that it was a date, and he is a man. At the end when Lain erases the memory of herself from everyone, Taro sees an image of her on an e-mail and tries to place the face as Myu-Myu jealously looks over his shoulder. But he can't remember and runs off to join the other two. <<Return
