Layer 02 - The Characters Iwakura Mika Iwakura Mika is Lain's older sister. She is the complete opposite of the shy, quiet girl. She stays out late, at least makes-out if not sleeps around with guys without seeming to care about them (though only shown once in the series). Mika keeps a close eye on Lain a lot, curiously watching with a stotic, ominous look from the cracked bedroom door. Once Lain begins to change in the series, Mika goes through her own transformation. SPOILERS Mika is not really Lain's sister at all. As mentioned in the parents profile, Lain was created to balance Eiri's power in the Wired. Once the family's 'normalicy' task was no longer needed they left. But Mika mentally left long before. It's unknown, but thought that the Knights switched her role with a hologram once she perhaps got too close? She saw the MIB and was questioning Lain's changes into a more outspoken girl. Mika began staying home and being withdrawn from the world after a traumatic afternoon when she received a napkin that said 'Hell is full and the dead shall wander.' Then she was haunted by the phrase 'Fulfill the Prophecy' throughout a surreal day of events. She then saw herself (hologram?) and from then on only spoke phrases like 'Pee.gee...' except once when she mimiced sending some kind of transmission. <<Return
